Zhengzhou is the provincial seat of Henan Province, an important city for the development of inland China, and a famous historic and cultural city; it's also a rising modern commercial city in central China.

The city is situated on the Southern shore of the Yellow River, and east of Gao Mountain, it is close in proximity to Kaifeng ¨C the capital of seven dynasties, and Luoyang ¨C the capital of nine dynasties, its southeastern edge opens up to the Yellow and Huai river plains. The city administers 6 districts, 1 county, and 5 cities. Zhengzhou is 760 kilometers south of Beijing, 514 kilometers north of Wuhan, 570 kilometer west of Lianyungang, and 480 kilometers east of Xi'an.
Zhenzhou has a long and glorious history and culture, and has rich tourism resources. Zhengzhou was the home of the Yellow Emporer, as well as the site of the Peiligang culture; this along with the remains of the Dahe village and a Shang City record its 8,000 years of civilization. The Yellow River tourism area and Dahe village remains area are tourist destinations full with traditional Chinese culture, and the Gao Mountain scenic and tourism area that incorporates the Shaolin temple and the Gao Mountain National Forest Park adds and immeasurable amount of Charm to Zhengzhou.
Zhengzhou's has a continental warm climate, its characteristics are: the four seasons are clearly distinguishable, temperatures and suitable, sunlight is ample, tourism activities don't suffer from seasonal limitations. Especially coming to Zhengzhou during high winter and early spring you can catch the beautiful snowy and icy weather, and the change from winter into spring, and can take advantage of off-season prices. If you come in the winter it will be dry and cold, and its best to wear down clothing or large jackets. In spring and autumn, it is very nice, but sweaters and wind resistant coats should be on hand; in summer it is sweltering with frequent rain, you must be careful to bring rain protection if you are in Zhengzhou during summer.
